The ECA Network raises awareness of the ECA framework among important stakeholders and aims to connect governments, investment banks and financial partners, academia, NGOs and international organisations. The ECA framework is a systematic and transparent approach aiming at unlocking climate finance by bridging the gap between all stakeholders involved in climate risk analysis and adaptation. Climate risk analytics are increasingly important for developing adaptation strategies in developing countries and emerging economies. However, there is a gap between capacities for certain stakeholders, on how to use already available tools, methods and frameworks. In addition, users of climate analytics tools often struggle to communicate the benefits and best practices of their approach to decision makers. The ECA Network shall bridge this gap in bringing together various stakeholders to inform, document and highlight successes of existing ECA approaches.
